Buda is split down the middle geologically, and it genuinely changes what we do. West of I-35 the Balcones Escarpment brings thin soil over limestone, Ashe juniper and the shallow-rooted live oaks of the Hill Country. East of the highway it is deep Blackland clay growing large cedar elms and pecans.
Practically, that means two properties three miles apart in the same town can need almost opposite advice. A western Buda live oak is at risk from compaction and drought on thin soil. An eastern Buda cedar elm is dealing with clay that shrinks and swells enough to tear fine roots apart every year.
Buda is also close enough to our South Austin yard to be one of our fastest response areas, which matters during storm season along this stretch of the corridor.
If you are near Buda City Park, we are already working your street most weeks. This list is not exhaustive, so call even if you do not see your subdivision.
Structural pruning that improves the health of the tree instead of just making it smaller.

Technical, piece-by-piece removal of trees that cannot be saved, including work over roofs and pools.

Grinding well below grade so you can replant, re-turf or build over the spot without a callback.
$145 - $600
Because the Balcones Escarpment runs straight through the town. West of I-35 you have thin soil over limestone, where trees root wide and shallow and suffer from compaction and drought. East of I-35 you have deep expansive clay, where trees root deeper but endure severe soil movement between wet and dry seasons. The two need genuinely different management.
Yes, particularly along the escarpment through western Buda where live oaks grow in the connected stands the disease exploits underground. Treat the February to June no-pruning window as a firm rule, paint any unavoidable wound immediately, and have crown thinning or veinal yellowing inspected early rather than waiting to see if it worsens.
Typically two to three hours, which makes Buda one of our fastest response areas outside Austin itself given the short run down from our South Austin yard. After a widespread regional storm we triage by severity across the whole service area, prioritising trees on structures and blocked access.
Nine jobs from across the service area. The method is chosen by what sits underneath the tree, not by what is quickest.
